Sundarbans, which means beautiful forest, is the largest contagious mangrove eco-system (6000 sq. Km.) on earth. A cluster of islands surrounded by hundreds of meandering streams, creeks, rivers and estuaries. For miles and miles the lofty tree top forming an unbroken canopy of virgin forest that nature has laid it out with as much care as a planned play ground. A large block of littoral forest free from human habitations, but the natural habitat of 235 species of animal of which the dominants are the spotted deer, rhesus monkey, wild boar, lizard, python and the famous royal Bengal tiger. There are 270 species of bird, 160 species of fish, 50 species of snake and crocodile are there. The species of plant is about 230 and 400(apx) are the Royal Bengal Tiger.

The main attraction of Sundarbans is the unusual characteristic of mangrove eco system. An unspoiled wilderness of peace and tranquility and free from commercial exploitations. A unique place for nature shooting, study and research program, animal watching, bird watching, cruising, boating and adventure.

300 km. country side journey from Dhaka and 30 minutes journey by air to Jessore from where 100 km. road journey or 24 paddle steamer journey from Dhaka to Mongla port-Sundarbans is situated at the north of Bay of Bengal and south of Bangladesh at the Ganges mouth is world 522 no. heritage site and prime attraction of the visitors of Bangladesh.
No road, no ways but only the rivers, estuaries, canals and creeks are the accessible ways in the forest and watercraft is the only means of transport for an expedition.
